  • Last week we received visitors from the church. It started with a chat in response to the enthusiastic singing of the children. The guitarist (Mark) indicated that he wanted to drop by with his guitar. He also wanted a list of the children's favorite songs. After some email contact, a date was planned.

On a Monday evening the time had come. The children all came to the shed and were all set. Mark had studied the specified songs well. The children were very enthusiastic. They showed that they can sing very beautifully and loudly. The time flew. We didn't realize that an hour had passed. That meant it was almost bedtime. I indicated that we could sing three more songs. Mark added an encore on top of that. And off we went: Our God is greater, our God is stronger, God You are higher than any other… The children sang with dedication, lustily. Wow! To enjoy!

Before the children went to bed, M. (girl, 9 years old) wanted to pray with us. It is moving when you hear that she thanks for the nice evening and, among other things, prays for a safe home for herself and the other children.

We walked upstairs singing, with a smile on our faces. A little later I get an email from Mark that he would like to come and do it again. Well, please!

The following Sunday, the children were allowed to stand at the front of the church and play their favorite song.

When they were seated again, Mark said how much he had enjoyed it and said: “How beautiful it is to see these children sing, full of dedication. And we too must be like a child. ”
